Raimundo P. "Ray" Rodriguez, 81, on February 27, 2024

Raimundo P. "Ray" Rodriguez, 81, a resident of North Attleboro for 51 years, formerly of Norwood, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Hulitar Hope Hospice Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Carole M. (Higgins) Rodriguez of North Attleboro.

Ray was born on October 29, 1942, in Havana, Cuba, to the late Nicholas Rodriguez and Laura (Comas) Rodriguez. He grew up in Havana, where he received his education before immigrating to the United States at the age of 17.

Throughout his life, Ray held various occupations, showcasing his versatility and work ethic. He was a longtime employee of the Kendall Company in Walpole, where he served as a team leader. Additionally, he worked for Proctor and Gamble for over 7 years, served as a school bus driver for the town of Norwood, and worked as a pizza delivery man for Rico's, Bill's, and Domino's in North Attleboro.

Ray was a man of many interests and talents. He was known for his intelligence and enjoyed activities such as trivia, solving crossword puzzles in the Sun Chronicle, and following politics. He was an avid golfer and relished playing at various courses in the area. Ray had a deep appreciation for opera music, often blasting it in his car as he delivered pizzas around town. He was also a diehard fan of the Boston Celtics and "bled green."

In addition to his beloved wife, Ray is survived by his devoted sons Brian Rodriguez and his wife Daphney of Providence, RI, and Daryl Rodriguez and his wife Kristene of North Attleboro. He is also survived by his cherished grandsons Kyle Rodriguez and Jason Rodriguez. Ray was the dear brother of his twin brother Nicholas Rodriguez, Jr., and his wife Josefina Del Valle Rodriguez of Miami, FL, and his sister Laura Colome of Havana, Cuba, and her late husband Armando Colome. He was predeceased by his sister Addy Perez-Feria and her husband, Manuel Feria.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ray's funeral services on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Visitation will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by the Reverend Joseph Mozer at 11:00 AM at Saint Martha's Parish, 227 South Street, Plainville. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Mansfield.

Ray will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
