Emma D. Fitzpatrick, 93, on February 17, 2024

Emma Doreen Fitzpatrick of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. 

Born in Pittsfield, MA, on March 13, 1930, she was the daughter of Irving Henry Pettit and Lydia Cora (Hustis) Pettit. 

Emma graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1948 and went on to graduate in 1952 from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY.  She married Earl Burr Zimmer, Jr., in 1953, who predeceased her. 

Emma worked at Crane & Company in Dalton, MA, for over 42 years, retiring at the age of 75. Initially she was an accountant and later became the receptionist where she was known as “the voice of Crane & Company.”

She was active in her church in Pittsfield for many decades and later in Attleboro. In 1979 she married Michael Fitzpatrick who predeceased her in 2014.

She is survived by her son Gary Allen Zimmer and Gary’s wife, Barbara of Rehoboth, MA; her son Steven Edward Zimmer of Boston, MA; and her daughter, Pamela Yvonne Dotterer and Pam’s husband, Donald of Monroeville, PA.  She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

All funeral services and Emma's interment in the family plot in the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, Schoharie, NY, will be held privately.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, North Attleboro, MA.
