Patricia Ann Todaro Whalen departed this life on January 20, 2024, to go home and be with the Lord for eternity. She was the wife of the late William J. Whalen for 58 years and the daughter of the late Anthony James and Elizabeth Marie (Schnitzler) Todaro.
She was the mother of the late Brian M. Whalen.
She is survived by precious gems in the form of family and friends; Her daughter, Lynn Mello and her husband Wayne. Her son James, and his wife Janet. Her sons Mark and Neil, daughter in-law Joyce, and six grandchildren whom she adored: Jason, Michelle, Melissa, Benjamin, Ryan and Shelly. Her cherished great-granddaughter Apryl. She loved her brother Steve Todaro, and his wife Nancy and their son Tim and those many that knew her as "Ma Whalen", nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Pat was born in Attleboro and attended school in North Attleboro, enjoying her role as a head cheerleader. She was a former member of the Southeastern Massachusetts Health Planning and Development Inc., The Attleboro Civil Defense, President of the Twin Mothers Club, a teacher for the Medical Self Help program and Literacy Volunteers of America. She was a business owner with a cherished friend, Connie Perry, called PC Best, in the early 70's, located in the center of North Attleboro. Office manager at W.T. Whalen Engineering, for many decades, also of North Attleboro. She was also a skilled Reflexologist.
Patricia's favorite times were those spent in the presence of the ones she dearly loved and being in her yard where her flowers grew. She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible. “For we walk by faith, not by sight."
Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend visitation on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A service in celebration of Pat’s life will be held at the conclusion of the visitation, beginning promptly at 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Pat's brother, the Reverend Stephen Todaro, will officiate. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.
