Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home Obituaries

Helen M. Sacchi, 82, on December 14, 2023

Helen M. Sacchi, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. She was the cherished mother of Paula Walsh and Frederick Sacchi.

Born in North Attleboro, MA, Helen was the daughter of the late Frederick Jewett and Theresa Mancini. She’d been a resident of Cumberland, RI for more than 50 years.

Helen was a smart, slightly sassy, beautiful lady who adored her family. Initially a devoted homemaker, Helen held several retail positions later in life. In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing and was a talented knitter and crocheter. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing games, bird watching, but above all, was a passionate reader. She always had a cat or a dog by her side. On a summer night, Helen loved to be outside on her swing, enjoying the evening air and sounds.

In addition to her children, Helen leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Jen Sacchi. She was a very proud grandmother to Brandon, Tyler, Donavan, Kaitlyn, and Aiden.

Her treasured nieces, nephews and cousins share in our heartbreak. Helen was predeceased by her brother, Harry Jewett and his wife, Dianne, her stepfather, Angelo Mancini and her son-in-law, Edward Walsh. She was the beloved niece of the late Shirley Morris, Barbara Musil and Harry Schricker.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, beginning with a time for visitation from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Plainville Cemetery, West Bacon Street, Plainville.
