NORTON – John H. Linkamper, Jr., 73, of Norton, formerly of North Attleboro, Attleboro, and Cotuit, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Residence at Great Woods in Norton.
Born in Attleboro, MA on January 2, 1950, he was a loving son of the late John H. Linkamper, Sr. and Cecile (Dufault) Linkamper Newman.
John grew up in Attleboro and was a 1968 graduate of Attleboro High School.
He was employed by the M.S. Company in Attleboro as a chain mechanic for most of his career.
A true outdoorsman, John was never more in his element than when he was fishing or hunting. He was also an avid Boston sports fan with an extensive baseball card collection and especially liked rooting for his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.
He was the devoted father of Alyssa J. Linkamper of Norton and Kristi Richard of Salem, MA and the cherished grandfather of Haley Austin of Norton.
Visitation, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Towne Street, Attleboro Falls.
