Evelyn Lepere, 85, on September 3, 2023

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Evelyn Dickinson Lepere, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.

She was born in Monroe, Georgia to the late John Sims Dickinson, Sr. and Ruth Ryals Dickinson. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Harry Lepere.

Evelyn graduated from Monroe High School and attended Piedmont College and Georgia State University. Later in life she continued her education, earning a bachelors and masters from the University of Rhode Island. She met her husband while at Piedmont and they settled in North Attleboro. Along with their children, they were active in girl scouts, little league, cub scouts and activities of The First Baptist Church.

She worked for several years at Richards Memorial Library and then was employed at King Philip Regional School District as library/media coordinator until her retirement.

Bill and Evelyn enjoyed an active retirement with summers at Great Island in Narragansett, RI, participated in the Rollies and trips with the New England Triumph Club, as well as memorable trips with Collette Vacations. They were fortunate to be able to visit family in Georgia and California and be a part of their grandchildren's lives.

Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter, Laura Lepere, grandsons Andrew Bourque, Matthew Bourque, William Dominique Lepere, Jacob Lepere and granddaughter Allison Lepere. She leaves a large extended family and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, William Louis Lepere and her brother and sister-in-law, John Sims Dickinson Jr. and Sara Dickinson.

In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome in her name to King Philip Scholarship Fund, King Philip Regional High School, Wrentham, MA. Per Evelyn's request, visitation and services are omitted.
