Gina Ann Edwards, 64, on August 26, 2023

Gina Ann Edwards, 64, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. She was the beloved wife of Carlos M. "Mike" Edwards of North Attleboro.

Born on October 21, 1958 in Attleboro, MA, she was a loving daughter of the late Frank and Estelle Trifoglio.

She lived in North Attleboro until graduation. She did some traveling for a couple of years until she met her husband, Mike, in Florida. They lived in Florida for years and they moved back to North Attleboro to raise their family.

Gina went to North Attleboro High School. She also took early education classes and received many certificates in training, including her Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medical Assistant licenses.

Gina was a mother and a wife. She worked for Keisling Transport, Riverside Agency, Life Care Agency, and Beta Agency. Gina worked with people who had special needs for many years and she cared for them all very deeply, so much so that she received awards.

Gina was a Boy Scout Leader, a Girl Scout Leader, A 4H Leader, and a member of the PTO. She was also a Sunday School Teacher and a Taxi Driver for her kids and their friends. Gina loved her husband and kids as much as she loved the beach, collecting seaglass, and watching sunsets. Gina was the most thoughtful person you could ever know.

Besides her beloved husband, Mike, she is survived by her loving daughter, Alexandria, her precious granddaughters, Tru, Oisihana, and Athena, her soon-to-be great-grandchild, and her beloved friends.

In addition to her loving parents, Gina was predeceased by her beautiful, loving sons, Christopher and Nicholas.

Everyone is always welcome to pay respects to the family. As a family, we all decided to honor our loved one's wishes and have a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Gina by donating a flowering perennial plant or money to buy plants for a garden in her memory where her grandchildren and great grandchildren will always remember their Nana's favorite time of year. As we all know, Gina had such a great love for children. Donations in her name may also be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2900 N. Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, North Attleboro.

So gentle, considerate, and kind. Not a nicer person could you ever find. Devoted to her dear husband, Mike, her friends and her family. She was as loving as loving can be. Gina was a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, a great-grandmother-to-be and a very dear friend. She has been a true friend to me right up until the end. Gina, will be missed more than she could ever know. It seems just way too soon and it is so difficult to let her go. She was such a loving soul, so thoughtful and so kind. Always thinking of others all of the time. She always made everyone feel comfortable and loved, so much. She was the type of person that always went above and beyond, and added that special touch. If you wanted to go to a really great party, Gina's party was the one. She always went way overboard with the food and it was always so much fun! Homemade clam chowder and clam cakes, (Which were the best I have ever had) hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, chicken on the grill, fruit salad, potato salad, macaroni salad, and desserts galore! That is just a little bit of the food that was there, for there was so much more!

There were always fireworks, games to play, and special bags full of things for the kid to do. She loved to make people happy and she was such a great hostess too! There are just so many memories I have of my dear longtime friend, Memories that now, for a little while, will have to unfortunately end. Playing games, like Bunco and pitch and even the game clue these are some of the things we loved to do! We just had so much fun together over all the 53 years from joy and so much laughter to sorrow and lots of tears. I remember going to the beaches and collecting her favorite, sea glass. Boy, does she have quite the stash! She had such a love of God's creations of beautiful sunsets, and of nature; It was the simple things in life that mattered the most to her. She has certainly had her share of sadness, pain and grief. I am just so glad that now she is feeling at peace. Her life from now and throughout eternity will be filled with a great happiness, love, and joy every single day. For in Revelation 21:4 it states "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." Gina is not gone! She is in heaven right where she belongs.

With her sons, her mom and dad and all that have gone before. She will now be with them forevermore. Gina has suffered with grief for so long - now with the angels she is among. She is now face-to-face with our Dear Lord. There will be no more suffering or pain, nor any discord. John 3:16 states "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life?" which is what Gina is now experiencing and is now forever free from the world's misery and strife! She is now in heaven with her beautiful sons, Nicky and Chris. Forever, she will now be surrounded in eternal Bliss. So, we send her love and hugs until we are all together again in eternity. And oh what a great reunion that will certainly be! My dearest friend, you are finally at peace! Our love for you will never cease! We all love you! Psalm 34:18 "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Matthew 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted."
