Marilyn H. Redding, 83, on August 24, 2023

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Marilyn H. Redding, 83, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with her family by her side on Thursday, August 24th, 2023 at home. She was the wife of her devoted husband David H. Redding of North Attleboro, MA, whom she married in 1960.

Born in Attleboro, MA on May 23rd, 1940, she was the daughter of Helen and Henry Therrien.

Marilyn was a graduate of Attleboro High School in 1957 and she would meet her high school sweetheart, David, during her school years who graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1956. Their high school romance would lead to an amazing marriage of 63 beautiful years.

She was employed by Lyon's Nursery in Foxboro where she welcomed customers with her smile and kindness.

She loved Boston Sports including the Boston Celtics, the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots, and her beloved Boston Red Sox. She loved watching her grandchildren, Emma, PJ and Ava compete in soccer, football, basketball, lacrosse, softball, field hockey, track and field, baseball and gymnastics. She was a great Fan of Mansfield High School Athletics, especially Hornet Football and Girls Basketball. She loved visiting the beaches of Cape Cod, attending Red Sox games at Fenway Park, visiting family for weekend cookouts. Along with David, they traveled throughout the United States and Europe for vacations and many journeys to visit family.

In addition to her beloved husband David, Marilyn is survived by: her older sister, Eileen Dragun of Attleboro; her sisters-in-law, Betty Redding and Vicki Lankarge both of Connecticut; her sons, Michael Redding and his wife Nicole of Mansfield and Timothy Redding of Oahu, HI; her grandchildren, Emma Redding, P.J. Redding and Ava Redding of Mansfield; and many beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend visitation, at which time they may say their farewells to Marilyn, on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor by the Reverend David Costa following the visitation at 11:00 AM in Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. Interment will be private. After the services, those in attendance will be invited to a collation where they will be able to share their memories of Marilyn's life, which touched so many hearts.
