Joseph H. A. Veilleux, 85, on June 7, 2023

VENICE, FL - Joseph Henry Anthanase Veilleux, 85, a resident of Venice, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023 at the Tidewell Hospice Center in Venice, FL. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn Veilleux.

Born in Auburn, ME on June 1, 1938, he lived in North Attleboro MA for over 35 years before moving to Venice, FL. He was the loving son of the late Arthur and Laura Veilleux.

He was a manager for the Sears and Roebuck Company for over 25 years. He later opened his own business, The North Purchase Gallery Antique Store in North Attleboro.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army Reserves for years.

He was a lifelong member and past grand knight of the Knights of Columbus council #330 in North Attleboro and was also a member of the Saint Vincent De Paul Society, The Sacred Heart Parish Council and the North Attleboro Historical Society as well as other town committees and event planning. He loved collecting, buying and selling antiques. He was also an Antique auctioneer in his earlier years. When he moved to Florida, he loved spending time at the beach near his home.

Besides his wife, he leaves behind: his sister Elaine Topping of Wrentham, MA; his son Joseph and wife Laura Veilleux of Franklin, MA; his daughter Lisa and husband Nathan Richard of Peabody, MA; his stepsons Brian Ferns of Bedford, NH and Jason Ferns and wife Carole of Colebrook, NH; his brother-in-law Bob Everton and wife Linda of North Attleboro ; his grandchildren Joseph and Daniel Richard of Peabody, MA , Hannah and Connor Veilleux of Franklin, MA, Alexis, and Abigail and Cooper Ferns of New Hampshire; as well as many loved nieces and nephews. He is also predeceased by: his late wife Claire Veilleux; his brothers Paul Veilleux, Maurice Veilleux, Tancred Veilleux and Robert Veilleux; his sisters Carmen Papasian and Ann DiSumma; as well as his late brother-in-law Dan Topping and sister in-law Cynthia Veilleux .

A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be celebrated in his honor by the Reverend David Costa on Saturday, September 9th, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), 58 Church Street, North Attleboro. Inurnment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Towne Street, Attleboro Falls.  All who are in attendance will be invited to a collation following the services.
