Harry F. Twyman, Sr., 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol, RI where he had resided for the past three years. He had previously resided in Florida and North Attleboro for several years.
Born June 19, 1931 in White Hall, N.Y. he was the loving son of the late James and Margaret (Marcoux) Twyman.
As a young man Harry joined the U.S. Navy, proudly served and brought back many stories of his travels. He owned and operated Handee's Auto Electric from which he retired to Florida. For many years he maintained large, thriving vegetable gardens. Harry loved to cook but the outdoors was his favorite. He enjoyed hunting, fishing on his boat, and golfing. Harry hade a wide, contagious smile and never missed a chance for some good natured teasing. He will be greatly missed
Harry leaves behind his devoted children, Barbara D'Ambrosca of North Attleboro, Harry Twyman Jr. and his wife Danielle of Attleboro, Charles Twyman and his wife Perilene of North Attleboro, and Lynda McNamee and husband Paul of North Attleboro. Also his beloved grandchildren, Harry III and wife Kelli, Kasey, Connor, Brenna, Nathan, and Jennie and great grandchildren Charlie and Norah.
He was loving Grandfather to the late John Alan D'Ambrosca and was predeceased by brothers Winston and Stewart.
Visitation, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A memorial service in celebration of Harry’s life, followed by United States Naval honors, will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation, beginning promptly at 7:00 PM and will be officiated by the Reverend Bernard Lavin. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
