Frederick N. Frizzell, 91, on May 25, 2023

Frederick N. Frizzell, 91, of Bonaire, GA, formerly of Plainville, MA, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 25, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (Brennan) Frizzell, the love his life and mother of his five children.

Born on August 20, 1931 in North Attleboro, MA, he was a loving son to Frederick B. Frizzell and Mildred (Peterson) Frizzell.

As a young man Fred joined the Air Force becoming a fighter pilot: call sign "Lefty". Along with other aircrafts, he flew the F86 Sabre and as a member of The Wild Weasels the F105 Thud. He retired from the Air Force at the rank of major in 1971.

Fred leaves behind a legacy of so many great memories to his loving family. He had accomplished so much and was a jack of all trades, a hard worker and always ready to lend a hand. Between family, work, and attending college in his forties he loved to find the time for his interests in oil painting, model building, and renovating his home. In addition, he could always be found behind the video camera at any event.

He was an avid lover of Chevy Camaros and banana splits from Newport Creamery.

After retiring from Rolls Royce in Walpole, MA, Fred moved to warmer climates in Bonaire, GA and away from "Taxachusetts", as he so lovingly called it. Though he wanted to leave and spend his retirement years in the south he always knew he would be coming home and laid to rest in the family plot at Plainville Cemetery with his Mom, Dad, and sister.

In his ninety-one years of life Fred has touched so many lives and was known to many as; a brother, husband, Daddy, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa. Nicknamed lovingly as “Sonny” by his beloved mother and late sister, Dorothy “Dot” Baker.

He leaves behind his devoted children: Elizabeth Postell and her husband Buddy of Robbinsville, NC, Frederick “Bubba” Frizzell and his wife Tina of Warner Robins, GA, Sandra Frizzell of Queensland, Austrailia, James “Mr. JD” Frizzell and his wife Laurie of Plainville, MA, and Eric Frizzell of Bonaire, GA.

He was loved and will be missed by his many grandchildren: Christopher Patton, Leslie Patton, Crystal Frizzell Wysowski, Frederick Frizzell, Kasandra Dore, Danielle Frizzell Lazo, Dorothy “Dottie” Frizzell, Ashley Lesperance, Danielle Lesperance and a multitude of great-grandchildren.

Whether family or friend, Fred was loved and will be missed by so many. We are all so very blessed to have had him in our lives.

His funeral, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, beginning with a time for visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro, MA. Interment with United States Air Force honors will follow in Plainville Cemetery, West Bacon Street, Plainville, MA.
