MANSFIELD – Barbara A. Moitoza-Renner, 70, a resident of Mansfield for the past 6 years, formerly of North Attleboro, North Dighton, and Taunton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis J. Moitoza and the late David L. Renner.

Born on May 3, 1952 in Newport, RI, she was the loving daughter of the late John J. and Leah B. (Boutin) Dondero.

Barbara mainly grew up in Taunton and was a graduate of Taunton High School. She later attended Bristol Community College.

She was employed for many years at the former Reed & Barton in Taunton and also as a dispatcher for the Berkley, MA Police and Fire Departments.

A woman of strong faith, she was a communicant of the former Saint Joseph’s Church in Dighton, as well as Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church and Sacred Heart Church, both in North Attleboro.

Barbara loved nature and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially Boston Terriers and dolphins and enjoyed bird watching. She was also an avid New England Patriots fan. However, her favorite times were those spent in the company of her adoring family.

She is survived by her devoted children, John Moitoza of North Attleboro and Amanda Moitoza of Quincy. She also leaves many extended family members and close friends to mourn her passing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), 14 Park Street, North Attleboro, with Barbara’s longtime friend, the Reverend David Costa officiating. Relatives and friends are most warmly invited to attend. Interment will be held privately at a later date in Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Taunton. Visitation has respectfully been omitted.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Barbara’s name may be made to the ASPCA by visiting www.aspca.org or by donating to another organization of one's choice that benefits animals and their welfare.
