Margot L. Pirnie, 74, on November 14, 2021

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Margot L. Pirnie, 74, of North Attleboro passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at home.  She was the beloved wife of Lyle Pirnie with whom she celebrated fifty years of marriage this past August.

Born August 16, 1947 in Frederick, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary M.. (Mussetter) Larson.

Margot’s father was an Air Force Veteran, so Margot moved around from Germany, England, Ft. Meade in Maryland among other bases before moving to North Attleboro in 1985.

She graduated from the University of Maryland with a BA in Elementary Education and later a MA from Elmira College in New York in Remedial Reading.

Margot taught at Corning West High School in New York for 11 years and most recently worked as a part-time substitute teacher at the Sage School in Foxboro since 1998.

She was a ‘master’ quilter and a member of Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro where she previously taught Sunday school.  She was also devoted to animals and her cats.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Eric and Christian Pirnie both of North Attleboro; a brother, Jack Larson and wife Ginnie of Silver Spring, MD; and two nephews: Andy and David Larson.

A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 3 at 11 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 104 North Washington Street, North Attleboro.  Burial will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington D.C.
