William T. Howell was born to the late William H. Howell and Angelita T. Sherman, in Canandaigua, NY, December 16, 1970. William, also known as Willy, Will and Bill, lived a life of adventure from an early start.

As a music enthusiast Willy began his adventures working at Boston Rehearsal Studios in the early 90’s. During this time Willy earned multiple certifications in EMT and firefighter training. Following his love of adventure and creative experiences Willy headed west where he spent many years on the Pacific Coast from California to Alaska on the water where his adventures brought him to warm water excursions captaining high speed thrill charters to even first mate on a large scale deep sea fishing vessel in one of the world’s harshest environments within the Bering Sea. He worked and traveled across the country calling many states across the southwest home before landing in Louisiana as a merchant mariner.

Making friends along the way was easy for Willy, as his intelligence, generosity, humor and appreciation of music and film always allowed for a connection. In recent years Willy excelled in a tech support position enjoying time with family. His compassionate nature leaves behind the thoughtful words said to his siblings, and niece and nephew and Willy will be missed dearly by his loved ones.

Willy is survived and loved by his younger sister – Michelle Reach, brother in-law John Reach, sister – Jennifer Howell, nephew – Andrew Reach, and niece – Hannah Reach.

A private celebration of life for the family will be held in Willy’s honor.

  • I am saddened to read this. Willy snd I were close friends as young kids who grew up on the same street. I had inquired over the years to others if they knew where he was living. Sounds like he lived a life of fun adventures. My condolences go out to his sisters and loved ones. May my Norton brother rest in peace.
