William E. Bliss 12/26/2018

 

 

 

ATTLEBORO – William E. Bliss, 69, of Oakridge Ave. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday December 26, 2018 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.  He was the loving husband of Claudia (Thibeault) Bliss.

 

Born on February 9, 1949 in Attleboro he was the son of the late Winthrop and Ida (Belavance) Bliss.

 

He was a Bishop Feehan High School graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree from Lowell Tech.

 

William worked at Leach & Garner for 40 plus years as Vice President of Manufacturing.

 

He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking care of his beloved pug Suzie.  He was an avid golfer, huge sports fan and was a member of Attleboro Elks Club.  He loved his 1961 Corvette and enjoyed reading.

 

William is survived by his beloved wife Claudia (Thibeault) Bliss, his daughter Kristen Bliss and Chris Chlebek, daughter Jillian Brodeur and her husband Marc Brodeur, and daughter Lauren Bliss. His sisters Cynthia Bliss, Anne Boudreau and her husband Gary, his brother Brian Bliss and his wife Jaye.  His cherished grandchildren Charleston and Winston Brodeur and many nieces and nephews.

 

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday January 2, 2019 in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home 15 Grove St. North Attleboro from 9-11am with a service immediately starting at 11.  Burial will be private at a later date.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Attleboro Animal Shelter 27 Pond St.

  • So sorry to hear of Billy’s passing. I have very fond memories of working with Billy at the General Findings facility in North Attleboro as Security Supervisor. Condolences to Claudia, happy to hear you and Billy got to have many years together. Prayers and condolences to the entire family. I have a doctors appointment and will be unable to attend the services tomorrow. Please know you are remembered fondly and will be in my thoughts and prayers.
