  • So sorry to read of Sheila’s passing. She was always a good friend, a delight to know. We always had a LOT to talk about which brought many “Looks” our way at meetings! That  made us laugh all the more, of course. We used to meet often at Mary’s vegetable stand. Sad they have both left us now. My condolences to all the family.

  • My heartfelt condolences to the Hoye family.  Sheila was a wonderful neighbor, from High Street and Sumner Street many years ago.  She and Vin were special friends of my parents, Larry and Gert Johnson.  Sheila will be remembered to me as a caring mother who was true to her convictions, with always a warm Irish smile.
    She will be missed.

  • Mrs. Hoye was my 4th grade teacher many many years ago.  She was one of my favorite teachers growing up in NA.  I will never forget how scared I was to walk in her classroom day one….and how sad I was to leave her classroom at the end of the year.  Years later…she always remembered me and gave me a wave or hello.   My condolences to her family.  She was a great one!

  • Our son was so fortunate to have Sheila as a teacher.  She was so passionate, enthusiastic and caring making learning a real joy.  She brought that zest for life with her in her interactions with others.  Always uplifting and humorous when she met you in numerous local spots.  We’ll miss her !
