Anita L. Coyle, 91, on May 13, 2023

Anita Louise Coyle, 91 and a life-long resident of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Branches of North Attleboro surrounded by her family.

She was the beloved wife of John “Jack” Coyle (NAPD), who passed away on November 10, 2022.

Born on August 24, 1931, she was the loving daughter of the late William and Mary (Colitto) Burke.

Anita loved the beach and cherished any time she was able to spend in the sand. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being amongst her flowers. She took pride in painting, knitting and embroidery. 

She is survived by her children: Patrick Coyle of Milwaukie, Oregon; Sara Coyle Caruso and her husband Jack of North Attleboro; Catherine Cavalieri and her husband Bill of North Attleboro. Her beloved grandchildren: Stephanie, Alyssa, Christina, Shannan and Billy. She was the dear sister of: Maureen Cunha, and her husband Bill, of Plainville, MA; Kathleen Barbuti, and her husband Bernie of Palm Desert, California. And sister-in-law of: Ann Johnson and her husband Robert of Narragansett, RI, Michael Coyle and his wife Sandra of North Attleboro and Leonie Coyle of North Attleboro. She also leaves many loved nieces and nephews. 

She was the mother of the late John D. Coyle, III and Daniel J. Coyle (NAPD). She was the sister-in-law of the late: Brian F. Coyle (NAPD), Timothy F. “Tippy” Coyle (NAFD) and his wife Cynthia Coyle.

A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be celebrated in her honor by the Reverend David Costa on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11 AM in Saint Mark’s Church, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls. Interment in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls, will be held privately at a later date. The family requests that all those attending the funeral, please report directly to church that morning. There will be no procession from the funeral home.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 4-7 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
