Claire Ann Bleiler, 89, of Framingham, formerly of Roslindale, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Saint Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. She was the beloved wife of the late SMSGT Edwin Robert “Bob” Bleiler, Ret. USAF, who passed away in 1988.

Born in Boston, MA on November 17, 1933, she was the loving daughter of the late Alfred E. Ulrich and Esther A. (Collins) Ulrich.

Claire was raised in the Roslindale neighborhood of Boston and was a 1952 graduate of Roslindale High School. She resided in Boston for many years until leaving to pursue life as a wife and mother in a career United States Air Force family for 27 years.

Although she worked as a clerk and bank teller to help support her family, her primary role in life was as a wife and mother, lovingly making their home.

Claire was a communicant of Saint Anne’s Parish in Readville and of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Dedham where she belonged to the Ladies Sodality and took frequent field trips. She was the administrator to several baseball leagues over the course of her life. She was an avid dancer as a teenager. She loved raising several Yorkshire Terriers over her lifetime, loved nothing more than doing arts and crafts in her spare time, and always looked forward to Saturday Bingo.

She is survived by her devoted children, Susan Ann Leone and her husband Larry of North Attleboro, Stephen Robert Bleiler of Lakepark, FL, Robin Claire-Carchedi of Nalcrest, FL, and Edwin Ulrich Bleiler and his wife Joanne of Sudbury. She was the dear sister of Richard T. Ulrich and his wife Ann of North Attleboro.

A Mass of Christian Burial, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be celebrated in her honor on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:30 AM in Saint Anne’s Church, 90 West Milton Street, Readville. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, LaGrange Street, West Roxbury. Visitation will be held in the church prior to the Funeral Mass from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
