Patricia E. Potter, 81, on March 1, 2023

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Patricia Eva “Pat” (Woodworth) Potter, 81, of North Attleboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 1, 2023 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Bruce Potter.

She was born on August 23, 1941 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Richard and Virginia (Raymond) Woodworth. She attended Plainville High School and graduated from King Phillip High School in Wrentham in 1959. She was a resident of North Attleboro for 60 years.

She worked for Stop & Shop in North Attleboro for 20 years. After that, she worked briefly for Fernandes Supermarket in Plainville. After that, she worked for Attleboro Savings Bank in Attleboro for many years. She was also co- owner of Potter & Sons Small Engine and Appliance Repair in North Attleboro with her husband, Bruce Potter. In 1981, she and her husband bought and ran Hillcrest Campground and RV Park in Chichester, NH for 23 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being with her family most of all.

In her life, she volunteered to many causes and interests. She was a Den Mother for her sons' Cub Scout Pack and her daughter's Brownie Unit. Her faith was very important in her life and she served in many capacities in the church, including Treasurer for First Baptist Church of North Attleboro, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, member of the Mary Martha Circle. Later, she joined Memorial Baptist Church in Seekonk, where she served on the Mission Board, sending care packages to service members in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with other mission projects.

She received several commendations from soldiers serving overseas, grateful for her efforts. She was also a member of the Women's Fellowship at MBC.

In her lifetime, she traveled extensively, visiting all 50 states through 6 cross country camping trips which were to Alaska, her favorite destination. She also visited every province in Canada except Prince Edward Island. Other travels took her to many Caribbean islands and many countries in Europe and Central America. She was blessed to visit Israel for 10 days in 2018 following many of the sites of Jesus's life. She enjoyed camping and she and her family camped from the time the kids were old enough, which led to the purchase of Hillcrest.

She was a fabulous cook. She loved dancing, quilting, knitting, playing cards with friends and family, crosswords, computer solitaire. For a time, she was a member of the Merry Jesters Square Dance Club.

Pat was a people person and loved to get together with friends and especially family. She loved her hugs and would talk with and hug perfect strangers. She met regularly with classmates from her high school years, right up until her passing.

In addition to her beloved husband of 62 years, Bruce, she is survived by her son Scott and his wife Cindy of Seekonk, daughter Linda and her husband Jim Amara of Selma, NC, son David and his wife, Karen of North Attleboro, grandsons Cory and his wife Megan of Seekonk, Joe Amara and his wife Olivia of Clayton, NC, granddaughter Kristen Potter of Seekonk, grandson Zachary and his wife Samantha of Willow Spring, NC, granddaughter Morgan Potter of North Attleboro, granddaughter Emily Amara of Selma, NC, grandson Jacob Potter of North Attleboro, granddaughter Zariya Young of Woonsocket, RI, great-grandchildren Abel Potter, Levi Potter, Abel Young, Noah Amara, Peter Amara, Alden Amara and Eliza Amara. Nephew Rick Myers and wife Sue of Attleboro, and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM in Memorial Baptist Church, 340 Central Avenue, Seekonk. Interment will follow the service in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are most warmly invited to attend.
