NORTH ATTLEBORO - Mary Elizabeth (Graham) Achin, 90 passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2022 in the Ellis Nursing and Rehab facility in Norwood, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Achin, who died on November 24, 2009.
Born on January 9, 1932 in Woburn, MA, she was one of 7 children to William and Elizabeth (Innes) Graham and raised in Stoneham, MA. She was a graduate of Stoneham High School, and was a longtime resident of North Attleboro, where she moved after marrying the love of her life, Alfred, to whom she was married to for 54 years.
Mary was a stay-at-home Mom raising her 5 children. She was an accomplished quilter, seamstress and knitter but her greatest joy was maintaining a happy home for her family where they all spent many happy holidays and celebrations.
She is survived by her 5 children: Jeanine Benaski of Pawtucket, RI, Paula (Achin) Larocque and her husband Paul of Little Falls, NY, Fred and his wife Denise of North Attleboro, Matthew and his partner Heather of Wrentham, David and his wife Pam of North Attleboro. She was the grandmother of Cara, Kelsey, Matthew, Allie, Greg, Avery and Tony and the great-grandmother of Amaya, London, Lennox and Lawson.
Per Mrs. Achin’s wishes, a private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in North Attleboro and visitation has respectfully been omitted.
In lieu of flowers, per Mrs. Achin’s wish, donations can be made to St Mary’s Sacred Heart School, 57 Richards Ave., North Attleboro, MA 02760.
