Claudette M. (Savoie) Chase, 63 on October 27, 2022

Claudette M. (Savoie) Chase, 63, of Attleboro, passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family on Thursday October 27, 2022.

Born on June 21, 1959 she was the daughter to the late Ohmer E. Savoie and Margaret B. (Savoie) Charette. She was the beloved sister of Greg Savoie, the late Estelle (Savoie) Martinez, and Eric Savoie.

Claudette grew up playing with her sister and brothers in Newport RI and Woonsocket RI, surely causing some kind of mischief. She graduated from Woonsocket High School, Class of 1977. Growing up a child of the 60’s Claudette fell in love with music and especially Elvis Presley. Anyone who knew Nunnie… Knew about Elvis!

Claudette spent her days trying to brighten the days of others. She often told stories of working at Gulf Stream Race Track in Hallandale, Florida and the wonderful people she would run into. While at Gulf Stream she had many roles, her favorite of which was landscaping and helping care for the horses. She often spoke of how much she enjoyed their beauty.

Many know Claudette from her days working the Drive Thru at McDonalds on Pleasant Street, Attleboro or at Walmart in North Attleboro. No one loved going to work more than Claudia. Not only did she take pride in her job but she genuinely looked forward to seeing her coworkers and customers who were equally a cherished part of her life. There was never an adventure here in town she was on that she didn’t run into someone that she had touched with her kindness.

Claudette loved to crochet and had recently made new friends at the Larson Senior Center who were teaching her some new stiches so she could make hats for babies at the NICU, she was so proud to show off her new talent and get started on baby hats.  She truly loved giving back and made it a personal mission over the past few years to sign and distribute Christmas cards to local seniors in nursing facilities during the holidays so that she could share her favorite holiday with everyone.

Claudette was a proud mother and is survived by her son SSG. Brian R. Savoie and his wife Jennifer of Attleboro and her beloved daughter Pamela M. (Chase) Kalinowski and her husband Michael of New Jersey.

Claudette was a proud Mother, she adored her two beloved children and always beamed when she told stories of their childhood. She was a prankster and did enjoy a little fun at their expense.

She was a US Military Mother and always showed her pride in her country, her son, and his comrades in arms.

Claudette is also survived by her best friend and most recent partner in crime Heather Moreau and her fiancé Scott Parenteau.

Claudette REALLY loved shopping with her beloved grandchildren and was the World’s Greatest Nunnie to so many. She is survived by her grandchildren Kelsey Savoie of Ontario Canada, Rose and Melody Savoie, and Madilyn Soullier of Attleboro, Angelina Kalinnowski of New Jersey, Shawn and Angelia (Sprague) Duarte of Attleboro, Nicole Sprague of Attleboro, eM Sprague and Brian Perkins, Stephanie Simoneau and Orion Veader, and Gage Sprague all of Attleboro.

Claudette is also survived by two beautiful Great grandsons, Layne and Axel.

Along with her family Claudette leaves behind a huge community of friends that loved her dearly.

Claudette was a special friend to so many of us, and she treated everyone with the same love and compassion.

She never wanted anyone to feel alone and always made sure we didn’t!
