Elaine M. Flamand, 79, on October 22, 2022

Elaine M (Buonfiglio) Flamand, 79, of North Attleboro passed away on Saturday October, 22, 2022 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.  She was the wife of Gerald Flamand to whom she was married for 58 years.

Born in Providence, RI in December 1942, Elaine was the loving daughter of the late Joseph and Dora (Iadevaia) Buonfiglio.

Elaine grew up in Providence, RI and was a graduate of Hope High School.

Elaine was a resident of North Attleboro for 53 years. While raising their family she worked at Bliss Brothers Dairy and Triboro Cinema in North Attleboro. Later in life Elaine worked as a receptionist at St. Mark’s Church in Attleboro Falls, Mansfield Bank, Dean Junior College and at the Benjamin Franklin Savings Bank.

Elaine was a devout Catholic and was a long-time member at St. Mark’s Church in Attleboro Falls. She most enjoyed her dog Nickey, cooking and spending time with long time neighbors, friends and family. Elaine also enjoyed traveling. Some of her favorite places to visit included The Von Trap Lodge in Stowe, VT and Disney World. She and her husband also traveled to Alaska and Hawaii and in more recent years enjoyed many trips to visit with her daughters in St. Augustine, Florida.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Gerald Flamand of North Attleboro, brother, Joseph Buonfiglio and his wife Denise Buonfiglio of Louisville, KY, two children: Debra Gould and her husband Bradford Gould of St. Augustine, FL and Diane Torres and her husband Thomas Torres of St. Augustine, FL and grandson Joshua Gould of St. Augustine, FL.  She also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend will be held on October 28, 2022 from 4-7 pm at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St, North Attleboro, MA 02760. 


A Mass for Elaine will be held at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish at St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, North Attleboro on Saturday, October 29th at 12 p.m.
