Jean E. Colleran, 84, on June 28, 2022

Jean E. Colleran passed away peacefully in Boston, MA on June 28, 2022, at the age of 84.  

Jean was born on January 7, 1938 in Framingham, MA, the daughter of Harry and S. Helen (Bowman) Woodman.  

Jean grew up in Westboro, MA graduating from Westboro High School before moving to North Attleboro, MA, where she resided for the last sixty-two years. 

Besides raising a large family, Jean had worked at the Community Pharmacy and as a loan officer at Durfee-Attleboro Bank in Attleboro.  She worked the Polls for many years and then served on the Board of Election Commissioners in North Attleboro.  

Jean had volunteered her time to many organizations including Cub Scout Den Mother, teaching CCD, volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul and many others.   Jean enjoyed studying the history of her family that arrived in Massachusetts in 1630 and she was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.   Jean was an avid baker and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and her dog Bear.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert Colleran Sr and daughter Margaret Colleran.  

She leaves her brother Jay Woodman of Westboro, MA and children, Robert Colleran Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Mansfield, MA, Pam (Colleran) Brown and husband George of Attleboro, MA, Dennis Colleran and wife Karen of North Attleboro, MA, David Colleran and wife Pilar of Attleboro, MA, Tim Colleran and wife Lani of Warwick, RI, Liam Colleran and partner Chava Karlovich of Fairfield, CT along with thirteen grandchildren.  

Visitation, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 4-7pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 10 AM in Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church (Transfiguration of the Lord Parish), 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. Interment in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA will be held privately.
