Vincent A. “Vinnie” Giansante, 91, of North Attleboro passed away peacefully Thursday, May 5th, in the comfort of his home with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Elda (Finocchi) Giansante for sixty years.

Born in the small village of Castrovalva, Italy, he was the loving son of the late Michele and Lilia Giansante.

Vincent came to America in 1962.  He settled in North Attleboro and worked as a polisher at the LG Balfour Company for 38 years.  Following retirement, he enjoyed working part-time at Heather Hill Country Club, a job that he truly cherished.

As a long-standing parishioner of Saint Mary’s Parish in North Attleboro, he was extremely devoted to his faith.  He was known for his big smile and big heart.  He enjoyed returning to Italy, visiting his family and friends there.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Vincent was an avid Red Sox fan, loved gardening, playing cards, dancing to Italian music, playing his mandolin, and visits from his many friends.

He is survived by: his daughter, Liliana Bauer and her companion Mark Diamond of Mansfield, and his late son-in-law William Bauer, his son, Mark Giansante and his wife Sharon of North Attleboro.  He was the cherished “Papa” to his four grandchildren:  William Bauer, Angela Morin and her husband Jason, Nicholas and Talia Giansante.  Brother to the late Dalia and her husband Enzo Nanni of Italy, and Maria Grazia and her husband, Salvatore Romeo of Italy.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
