Mary C. Miconi, 86, on May 6, 2022

Mary C Miconi, 86, of North Attleboro passed away peacefully at LifeCare of Attleboro surrounded by her family on May 6th, 2022.  She was the wife of Daniel S Miconi until he passed in 1988.

Born in Brockton, MA, she was the only child of Frank Spadea and Helen Todd Spadea.  She leaves two daughters, Catherine of North Attleboro and Louise of Cotuit, MA: 2 grandsons, Edmond Joseph Wedge along with his wife Tina of Marstons Mills: Benjamin Daniel Wedge and his wife Stefany of South Boston: and a great-grandson, Michael Alan Wedge of South Boston.  She also leaves many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

Mary graduated from Brockton High School in 1953. Residing in North Attleboro MA for most of her life, Mary worked at Balfour in Attleboro, Univis Frame in North Attleboro and was a cafeteria staff member for the North Attleboro School system for many years.

She joined the Lions club in 1987.  First as a member of the South Attleboro Lioness Club and then in 1992 as a charter member of the South Attleboro Village Lions Club.  She served as club President twice, once from 1999-2000 and then again from 2004-2005.

Mary loved her Christmas trips to NYC with her family. She also loved traveling by boat to Newport in the summers with family and friends.  She loved visiting Chatham, New Hampshire and took trips to Italy and cruised to the Caribbean.  She was also a devoted pet owner, loved classic movies and some good ole early rock&roll, especially Elvis. 

Visitation will be at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street North Attleboro on Monday, May 16th between 9-10am with a celebratory mass immediately following at St Mary’s Church.  Burial will then be held at St Mary’s Cemetery in North Attleboro.
