BOSTON – Christine Wennersten, 85, of Boston died February 18, 2022 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Christine was born July 11, 1936 in Stockholm, Sweden.  She grew up in Stockholm and moved to Boston at the age of 19 and was currently a resident of Charles River Park in Boston.

She was astute student and achieved three degrees including a MS in Pharmacology from Northeastern University, a Mathematics degree from Boston University and worked as a microbiologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital from 1981-2009. 

Previously she worked as a technician at Yale University in New Haven from 1963 for a year and at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1957 – 1963.

Christine loved animals, especially her cat Blanche.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro from 5-8 p.m.

She is survived by her son, John Jennings and wife Rebecca of Attleboro and her grandson, Johnny and granddaughter, Autumn.

Also survived by her family in Sweden.  A brother, Goran Wennersten and wife Gunilla, a sister, Susanne Andersson Wennersten and niece Caroline Fletcher Wennersten an also Therese Wennersten, Chrstopher Wennersten and grand-nieces and nephews Helena Andersson and Richard Andersson.
