Harold G. Edgar, 79, on March 10, 2022

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Harold G. Edgar of North Attleboro, Massachusetts passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the age of 79. Harold faced the challenges of his Parkinson’s disease with courage and dignity for 19 years. He died peacefully at home with his devoted family by his side.

Harold was born in Lincoln, Rhode Island on October 2, 1942 to the late Harold A and Eleanor F (Hunt) Edgar. He had a long career with St. Johnsbury Trucking and retired from W.H. Riley. After retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting their extended family in Louisiana.  A man devoted to his wife and family, Harold was an avid gardener, loved watching NASCAR, making cookies with his grandkids and boxing with his friends at Elite Boxing’s Rock Steady Program in North Attleboro. Most of all Harold enjoyed being anywhere with the love of his life, Carolyn.

Harold is survived by Carolyn, his wife of 58 years.  He also leaves behind four children; Karen Meaux and her husband Wendall of Meaux, LA, Michael Edgar and his wife Karen of Attleboro, MA, Kimberly Reinbold and her husband Thomas of Attleboro, MA and Melissa Kenerson and her husband Robert of Plainville, MA.  He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, Robert Kenerson IV, Garrett Reinbold, Ryan Edgar, Aiyana Parker, Morgan Reinbold, Elizabeth Kenerson, Alex Edgar, Aiden Parker, and a loving extended family.  

We are grateful for the love and support of our family, neighbors and friends.  The family would also like to thank the staff of Hope Health Hospice, especially Lynda, Sheila, Stephanie, Miriam, and Dr. Cohen.

Visitation, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in his honor following the visitation at 10 AM in Saint Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls.

Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
