Richard J. Infante, 75, on January 28, 2022

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Richard John Infante, 75, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Advent Hospital in Ocala, FL.  He was the beloved husband of Janice (Mawbey) Infante for over 41 years.

Born January 9, 1947 in Weymouth, he was a son of the late Richard T. and Helen M. (Irwin) Infante.

Richard grew up in Miami, FL and spent summers in Weymouth since 1954.  He was a longtime resident of North Attleboro and has wintered in Ocala, FL since 2012.

He graduated elementary school at St. Mary’s School and Archbishop Curley High School, both in Miami and then received degrees from Miami Dade Junior College and later Florida Memorial College, graduating in 1970 with a degree in education.

He taught school in Miami for four years and moved to North Attleboro where he taught for ten years.  Richard started his own manufacturing company, RJI Associates, after leaving the education field.

He loved electronics and had a hobby of fixing televisions and electronic devices.  He also enjoyed antique cars and went to the car show in Hershey, PA for 34 years.  He also enjoyed camping in his motor home with friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Steven Infante (Kelly) of Milford and Timothy Allen Infante, Sr. (Amy Rae) of Attleboro; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was father of the late Christopher Michael who passed away in 1987 and brother of the late Carol Martino and late Robert E. Infante.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 11 from 1-3 p.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion of visitation at 3 p.m.
