ATTLEBORO – Frank D. Harris, Jr., 70, of Attleboro passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after recovering from a series of illnesses and surgeries. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Pamela (Halliday) Tondreault Harris for 45 years.
Born on October 31, 1951 in Attleboro, he was the loving son of the late Frank D. Harris, Sr. and the late Pearl Easterbrook Harris.
Frank grew up on the Harris family farm on High Street in North Attleboro and graduated from Bristol County Agricultural High School, Taunton in 1970. After high school he attended Stockbridge School of Agriculture in Amherst.
For 50 years, Frank worked at Walsh Contracting Corporation in Attleboro before retiring as a foreman in 2015. Over his years at Walsh, he made many lifelong friends that he considered family.
Over the years, Frank enjoyed the trips to Maine with his dad and celebrating the yearly 4th of July parties with all his family. He loved keeping an immaculate yard and decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween, his birthday, and at Christmas.
But most of all he enjoyed his time with his wife, Pam travelling to many islands and the yearly vacation to Clearwater Beach in Florida. He enjoyed the casinos and taking Pam out to dinner. Frank was thoughtful, caring and a loving husband, always bringing her a coffee, special treats or leaving notes to make her smile.
He was also a man who loved his cowboy boots, all 10 pairs of them, and he enjoyed his Miller High Life! A twinkle in his eye and his humorous fun!
In addition to Pam, he is survived by his daughter, Tina L, Krieder of Stockbridge, GA. He was “DA” to his grandchildren: Frank J. Esposito and wife Mabely of Danbury, CT, Dylan Krieder of Stockbridge, GA who considered his DA more like dad, and Maria Bouzianis of Florida;
His great grandson, Kacey Barry, Jr. of FL; and his beloved sister, Robin Harris LaFontaine of North Attleboro, and his three beloved sisters-in-law Deborah J. Beauvais, Valerie J. Baldwin and Naomi J. Halliday.
Frank was pre-deceased by two of his daughters, Heather H. Harris and Tami A. Tondreault and his brother-in-law Stephan LaFontaine.
“Uncle Frank”, as he was known to many, was a caring, constant presence in the lives of not only his wife, daughters, and grandchildren, but also to his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He will be so greatly missed by his family and the many wonderful friends that had touched his life.
Frank’s family would like to thank Dr. Steven Bensson and staff for all their love and support and also the doctors and nurses at Brigham and Women’s and Dana Farber in Boston.
Due to covid services will be held privately.
