STEVEN ALAN ROBERTS

     KENTUCKY – Steven A. Roberts, 56 died unexpectedly December 17, 2021 at his home.  He was born May 8, 1965 in Attleboro MA, the son of Chester A. and Sara A. (Lovely) Roberts.

     Steve graduated from King Philip High School Culinary Arts, Class of 1983.  Steve made the move to Kentucky in the early 1990’s and started his family in Mount Vernon.  Steve took pride in working on one of the many large horse farms that raced in the Kentucky Derby and was their Maintenance Manager for many years.  He was considered a jack of all trades and enjoyed being around the animals as it made him feels close to his childhood roots.  Steve also would relax reading countless books and enjoyed cooking for others.  Steve was always up for the challenge and hosting many Holiday meals.  Steve was an avid New England sports fan along with the Kentucky Wildcats and of course NASCAR. 

     In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his true love Jan, sister in-law Lynn and brother Jimmy.  Surviving in addition to this daughter Katelyn Roberts of FL and son Steven Roberts Jr. of KY and his step daughter Alexis Mouser of KY, brothers Gregory Roberts of Attleboro, William Roberts and wife Heidi of Rye NH, Thomas Roberts and wife Melissa of Uxbridge, sister Jennifer (Roberts) Blakely and husband Roy of Plainville; many nieces and nephews.

     There will be a visitation at Sperry & McHoul 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro MA, Wednesday December 29, from 6 to 8 pm. 

     A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Thursday December 30 at the Plainville United Methodist Church, 16 E Bacon Street, Plainville.  Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery, 565 Mt. Hope Street, North Attleboro MA.
