PLAINVILLE – Lucille T. Boyd, 84, of Plainville passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Serenity Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wrentham. She was the wife of Gary A. Boyd for the past 32 years.
Born August 4, 1937 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Rizzitano) DelTufo.
Lucille grew up in Boston and attended Boston Schools. She moved to Plainville in 1999. She was a ‘snowbird’ to Florida for several years before moving back to Plainville in 2018.
She worked as a tax preparer and at several car dealerships as a bookkeeper before retiring.
Lucille was an active member of the Weymouth Elks and loved going to casinos both local and the Bahamas.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children: David Kercz of Northbridge and Darlene Smith of Weymouth; step-children: Deborah Jameson of Bolton and Cynthia Sirard and husband Mike of Walpole and Pamela Bastis and husband Robert of North Dighton; grandchildren: Kayla Smith, Olivia, Alexa, Elise and Lillian Sirard and Noah, Samuel, Alison and Adam Bastis;
Three siblings: Frank DelTufo of Boston, Paula Kernan and husband Don of Hanover and Florida and Marie Foley and husband Steve of Plymouth;
Also several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was sister of the late Josephine Arena, Rita Ambrose, June Latouf and Eleanor Merlo.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10 o’clock a.m. at St. Mary’s Church at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro.
