Alice M Silvia Watts Sawtelle of Assonet passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 peacefully at home with family.  Born May 20, 1932 in Portsmouth, RI.  She was a daughter of the late Manuel S. and Marianna (Perry) Silvia.

She is survived by her son, Bruce N. Watts and wife Paula of Fall River, their son Nicholas N. Watts and wife Meghan of North Dighton; a great-granddaughter Ameila Winry; her daughter Gail L. Homen, and husband Carlos, of whom she lived with, and was cared for the past 26years, of Assonet;  two step-grandchildren: Tara Pereira and husband Greg Bemis of Vermont and their children Emma and Jack; and Michael Perreira of Fall River;  Also survived by nieces: Lois Wilding and Eunice Avila of Fall River, and Rebecca McGuire and her husband Joe of Berkley, along with several other nieces and nephews throughout the country.

She was sister of the late Manuel S. Silvia, Jr. of Portsmouth, RI, Helen Avila Allard of Assonet, MA and Doris Koohy of Middletown, RI;  Alice was employed as a CNA at St. Ann’s Hospital in Fall River.  For 25 years until her retirement she continued as a CNA working private duty for several years in retirement.

She was an avid traveler with her best friend Nellie Millerick of Somerset, MA, going on bus trips around the country and Canada, she also enjoyed word search books, However, she mostly enjoyed being with her family, and taking care of all her fur grandbabies.

Her daughter Gail and husband Carlos would also like to thank Vivian Parent who would selflessly check in on mom.
