Douglas W. Forbes, 63, on September 3, 2021

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Douglas W. Forbes, 63, of Commonwealth Avenue passed away Friday, September 3 at home. 

Born May 25, 1958 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Barbara (Hill) and Richard Forbes.

Doug was a resident of North Attleboro his entire life and a 1976 graduate of North Attleboro High School.

He worked as a landscaper and laborer for General Maintenance for many years and a bartender at Lenny’s Lounge in Attleboro also for many years.

He loved sports and played youth football and hockey.  He was a fan of all the New England sports teams and played adult softball for the Lenny’s Lounge team.

Doug is survived by his sisters, Bridget Lerner and husband Lawrence of North Attleboro and Kathleen Johnson of Florida;  nieces and nephews: America, Richard, Michael, Brenna and Shelby; also several cousins and many friends.

He was brother of the late Richard Forbes, Lance Forbes, Mary O’Brien and brother-in-law of the late Russell Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26 from 4-7 p.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.

A funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Church of Transfiguration Parish, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro on Monday, September 27 at 10 a.m.
