Caldwell Gagner, 81, on August 31, 2021

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Caldwell L. Gagner, 81, of East Washington Street passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home.  He was the loving husband of Maryanne (Grady) Gagner for over 51 years.

Born January 30, 1940 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Louis and Cynthia (Fink) Gagner.

Caldwell grew up in Attleboro and was later a 1958 graduate of North Attleboro High School.  He moved back to Attleboro for 30 years before becoming a resident of North Attleboro again for the past 16 years.

Caldwell worked at Engelhard in Plainville for many years and later JP Slocum in Cumberland, RI, Willowtree in Attleboro and most recently worked part-time at Main Autoparts in Attleboro.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the police unit.

He was a car racing enthusiast. 

In addition to his wife, Maryanne, he is survived by his son, Carl Gagner of Webster; two grandchildren: Justin and Crystal; and three siblings: Cynthia Courcy, Pat Sheldon and Arthur Gagner.

He was brother of the late James Tinkler and Roy Gagner.

Services will be held privately with arrangements entrusted to Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
