James M. Correia, 67, on August 28, 2021

NORTON – James M. Correia, 67, of Norton passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.  He was the loving husband of Nadine Varrecchione for 31 years.

Born April 10, 1954 in Providence, RI, he was a son of the late James and Celeste (Freitas) Correia.

James grew up in Seekonk and was a 1972 graduate of Seekonk High School.  He lived for over 20 years in North Attleboro before moving to Norton in 2004.

He has worked as a machinist at Semco Machine for the past 25 years.

Jim a zealous dog lover also loved kayaking on Cape Cod, bike riding, hiking and trips to “Bah” Harbor, Maine.  He was known to be both goofy and hilarious and loved seafood, particularly steamers.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: Lori Correia of Encinitas, CA, Sherri Lipizzi of Franklin and Nathan Correia and spouse Chrissy Thompson of Norton;

Three grandchildren: Anthony, Vincent and Geno Lipizzi; a sister Linda Roy; and late brother-in-law Paul Roy, niece Sarah Gravel and nephew Jesse Roy.  He was a brother of the late Angela Correia.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 9 from 5-7 p.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.  A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Masks are required for those attending services.
