PLAINVILLE – Betty A. Sandy, 59, of Plainville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 12, 2021 She was the beloved wife of Timothy Sandy for 34 years.
Born December 14, 1961 in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Chester and Theresa (Webb) Nasiatka.
Betty grew up in South Boston and has been a resident of Plainville for the past 32 years.
She worked as an insurance analyst at New England Financial for many years and later Sun Life Financial until 2019.
Family was the most important thing to Betty. She also loved gardening flowers and tomatoes, shopping and going on cruises.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two children: Samantha Sandy of East Providence, RI and Timothy and wife Brittani of Plainville; two grandchildren: Jack and Hannah; 3 siblings: Joseph Wisnewski of Maryland, Robert Nasiatka of Wakefield, MA and Albert Nasiatka of Leominster; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting for Betty will be held in the Sperry McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 9 am to 10:30 am. A funeral Mass will follow at St. Martha’s Church, 227 South Street, Plainville at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Boston, MA.
