Please join us at Capron Park in Attleboro on Sunday, June 20 at 11:00 am for a delayed memorial service for Shirley R. Saunders, a longtime resident of North Attleboro, MA and a much-loved teacher of young children for over 60 years. She passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at home in Westport, MA, at the age of 92.  Shirley taught First Grade at Lincoln School in Providence RI for 30 years, then went on to tutor students at Gordon School in Providence, and in her own home.  

Donations in Shirley’s memory can be made to the MSPCA or the Shirley Saunders Lecture Series at Lincoln School in Providence, RI.  Or help us celebrate Shirley’s love for growing things by bringing simple garden flowers from home or supermarket.  We will have extra vases for them. 

Enter the park at 231 County St., Attleboro, MA (under the arch), and stay left at the intersection.  Look for us at the Newell Structure, a large open pavilion on the right, just before the parking lot.  We’ll have a picnic lunch afterwards. Casual attire.
