Joseph F. Ferrone, 79, on May 28, 2021

PLAINVILLE – Joseph F. Ferrone, 79, of Plainville passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton.  He was the husband of the late Barbara (Thayer) Ferrone for 52 years before her death in 2014.

Born May 24, 1942 in Boston, he was a son of the late James and Theresa (Alleva) Ferrone.

Joseph attended schools in Boston and has been a resident of Plainville for the past 57 years.  He was a baker by trade and worked at Bob Paul Bakery in Framingham and Brown University in Providence, RI.

He enjoyed fishing and golf and belonged to the Wrentham Sportsmans Club.  He loved watching the Patriots and Red Sox and was a co-founder of the Plainville Athletic League.  Above all he cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren.

He’s survived by his daughter and son: Tom and wife Kerri Ferrone of North Attleboro and Debbie and husband David Forget of Bellingham;

5 grandchildren: Maia Ferrone, Dylan Ferrone, Shane Force, Nathan Forget and Alyssa Forget; and siblings Mario and Peter Ferrone.

Services will be held privately with burial at North Purchase Cemetery in Attleboro.
