Robert “Bobby” Letourneau, 67, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away on May 15, 2020 at RI Hospital due to complications from COVID-19. 

Born on November 29, 1952 and raised in Attleboro, he was the beloved son of Roland and Rita (Forget) Letourneau. He was the second eldest of seven children and loving brother to Rachel C. Lesieur and her husband Ronald of Attleboro, Dennis R. Letourneau and his wife Teresa of Warwick, RI, Ronald P. Letourneau and his wife Ann of North Attleboro, Roxanne N. Letourneau and her companion Charlie Russ of North Attleboro and the late Mark and James Letourneau.

Survived by former wife Linda and their three children; oldest son; Gary Letourneau of California, daughter; Amy Letourneau of North Attleboro, and youngest son; Kevin Letourneau of California. He was a proud “Poppa” to granddaughter Emily Thomas of North. Attleboro.

Bobby attended Attleboro Public Schools until he enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17. 

Robert began working at Chrysler Motors in October 1973 before retiring in March 2005. For the last 4 years, he worked part-time as a bar back at the Plainridge Park Casino. 

Bob enjoyed working, music, collecting records and horror movies, and spending time with his family. He never missed an opportunity to grill outside, tend to his garden or watch a Patriots game on TV. He loved to eat out at local restaurants and support local businesses. It wasn’t uncommon for Bob to show up to work or visiting friends with a box of donuts to share.

He will be truly missed but fondly remembered as the wonderful man that he was.

The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff of Rhode Island Hospital and Friendly Home Nursing and Rehab Center for their compassion and loving care.

Bob’s memorial will be held on May 15, 2021 at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home in North Attleboro. A private service for the immediate family will be held from 1pm-2pm. Friends and extended family may pay their respects from 2pm-4pm. 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in his name be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org, a non-profit that Robert donated to on a consistent basis.
