NORTH ATTLEBORO – Muriel Jean Bennett, 91, of Elm Terrace passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 4, 1929 in Attleboro, she was a daughter of the later Walter and Catherine (Ireland) Betts.
Muriel was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro. She worked for several local manufacturers throughout her career including C. Ray Randell’s and Leach and Garner.
She enjoyed puzzles and word searches and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Mark Bennett and wife Gail, Cheryl Phipps and husband Jon, Cathy Langille and husband Rick and Scott Bennett and wife Lisa; two siblings Shirley Molenhauer and husband Jerry and Gary Betts;
13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was mother of the late Frank Bennett and sister of the late Warren, Donald, Thomas, Richard and Norma Joan Betts.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation in the funeral home at noontime. Burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery & Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.
