WRENTHAM – Emmy (Sladky) Fuller, 97, died Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham.  She was the former spouse of the late Kenneth L. Fuller, formerly of North Attleboro.

Born in Vienna, Austria on December 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Elisabeth (Goeschl) Sladky.  She completed her education in Vienna prior to coming to the United States and was a “War bride” in 1948.  She lived in North Attleboro and moved to Wrentham in 1979.

Emmy worked for the now defunct Attleboro Savings Bank for almost 20 years, retiring as Assistant Vice President.

She was the sister of the late Elisabeth Rother, Rudolf Sladky, Hedy Houdek and Karl Sladky (missing in action during WWII).  Emmy’s only surviving sister, Johanna Gabriel, is living in Vienna.  She is also survived by her son, Peter C. Fuller and his wife Amy of Providence, RI as well as her daughter, Shirley L. Brady of Wrentham; seven grandchildren: Graham G. Fuller of Providence, RI, Hollis H. Morris and her husband Matthew of Bronxville, NY, Bradford B. Fuller of Denver, CO, Lt. Gavin P. Fuller, USN of Mystic, CT, Allison P. Fuller of New York, NY, Lerin L. Barnard and her husband Andrew of Carlisle, Michael P. Brady of New York, NY; also five great-grandchildren: Hunter, Charlotte and Lucie Morris and Brooke and Hudson Barnard.

Emmy loved to play golf during her younger years and enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, knitting, crocheting, rug hooking and braiding, as well as needlepoint.  Her favorite time of year was Christmas, when she baked hundreds of cookies and fruitcakes for her family and friends.

When her children were young, she was active in scouting and Sunday School at the First Baptist Church in North Attleboro.  She was also a member of the Emblem Club.  Emmy was an avid sports enthusiast who always supported and attended her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.

Arrangements will be held privately with burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery & Arboretum in Attleboro Falls.  In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made in her memory to the First Baptist Church, 75 Park Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
