Eleanor M. Costello 01/27/2021

Eleanor M. Costello, 89, resident of North Attleboro for over 60 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.

Born on April 3, 1931 in Franklin, MA, she was the loving daughter of the late Robert and Primera (Viola) Accorsi.

Eleanor grew up in Franklin and was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School.

She was employed for many years at the North Attleboro Library as a clerk and also worked at the Ames Department Stores corporate headquarters.

In addition to Eleanor’s favorite times, those spent with her adoring family, she enjoyed sewing, woodwork crafts, and going on long walks.

She was the devoted mother of Stephen Costello and his wife Rosemary of Washougal, WA and Diana Arsenault and her husband Kevin of North Attleboro. She was the cherished grandmother of Nicholas Hiltz and his wife Heidi of North Attleboro and Angela Lanthier and her husband Robert of North Attleboro. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was the mother of the late John J. Costello Jr.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 12 noon in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.

Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum in North Attleboro.

Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
