NORTH ATTLEBORO - Joseph A Kelly, 96, of North Attleboro passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of Dorothy (Niemas) Kelly.
Born in Ossining, New York on June 21, 1924, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna May (Ward) Kelly.
Joseph resided in North Plainfield, NJ for 57 years before moving to North Attleboro in 2017.
He was a printer by trade and worked for Art Color Printing Company in Dunellen, NJ until 1968 and then went to work for Economy Color Card in East Rutherford, NJ until his retirement.
Joseph was an avid scuba diver. He was a scuba diver instructor and owned two dive shops in North Plainfield, NJ and Piscataway, NJ. He was elected and served as Councilman in North Plainfield, NJ. Joseph was an avid reader. He enjoyed cross-stitch and was a flea market vendor.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy, Joseph is survived by his daughters: Jill (Kelly) Giulianelli and her husband Dino Giulianelli of Marlton, NJ.; and Joyce Kelly and her husband Frank Hanan of North Attleboro; his granddaughers: Ashlyn (Giulianelli) Musillo and her husband Jeff Musillo; Alyssa Giulianelli; Rose (Hanan) Stueckler and her husband Conor Stueckler ; and Ruth Hanan.
A memorial service for Joseph will be held at a later date.
