Linda Sullivan (Backstrom) age 76, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
Linda is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert P. Sullivan. Cherished mother of Michael Sullivan of Holliston, Christopher and Kathi Sullivan of Plainville, and Elizabeth and Michael Rand of Millis. Beloved Nana to Kailey, Sean, Maddie and Finn Sullivan, and Molly and Shannon Rand. Predeceased in life by her parents Harold and Lillian Backstrom of Brockton, her brother Walter Backstrom of East Bridgewater, her sister Carol Greenhatch of Wareham and her daughter-in-law Barbara Sullivan of Holliston. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Born in Brockton on March 12, 1944, she was the youngest of 3 children. She graduated from Brockton High School and went on to work at the Brockton-Taunton Gas Company. This is where she met her husband Bob. They wed on November 1, 1969 and together they raised their three children in North Attleboro.
Linda devoted her life to her family. She was a natural homemaker, always tending to the needs of her family without hesitation. Her favorite times were when the family gathered, and she could spend time with her grandchildren. They brought so much light into her life.
With strict adherence to Covid-19 precautions including face masks and social distancing relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visitation on Sunday from 2-4 PM in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish in Saint Mary’s Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro on Monday. Interment will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in North Attleboro.
