ATTLEBORO – Gerard E. DeBlois, 71, of Hope Street passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 unexpectedly at home. He was the longtime boyfriend of Hope Erlandson.
Gerard was born March 7, 1949 in Attleboro and was a son of the late Emile L. and Anita T. (Degrenia) DeBlois.
He grew up in North Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. He has been a resident of Attleboro for over 30 years.
Gerard worked as a clerk and factory worker in the electronics industry for many years and also worked in shipping at Mason Box Company and Metalor.
He enjoyed playing the guitar when he was younger and was fascinated by space, even building many model rockets.
In addition to his girlfriend, he is survived by four siblings: Roger DeBlois and wife Sheila of North Carolina, Jean Vaslet and husband Wayne of Cumberland, RI, Annette Rhilinger and husband Steve of North Attleboro and Theresa Poirier and husband Paul of Seekonk; also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
