NORTH ATTLEBORO – Donald W. Normandin, 66, of Smith Street passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at home.
Born October 31, 1953 in Pawtucket,RI, he was a son of the late Wilfred and Winifred (Moorhouse) Normandin.
Donald grew up in Pawtucket and graduated from W. M. Davies Technical School in Lincoln, RI.
He was currently employed as a courier for Now Courier in Smithfield, RI.
Don was active in the Attleboro and North Attleboro Community. He ran the Wednesday Night Market in Attleboro for many years with his partner, the late Richard Thompson and they started R & D Express Train, which entertained children at numerous festivals and fairs throughout New England.
He was also a longtime member of Grace Episcopal Church in North Attleboro where he ran their Soup Kitchen for many years.
He is survived by his three children: Sheri Normandin of Cumberland, RI, Christopher Normandin of Jacksonville, FL and Jackie Massod and husband Umer of North Attleboro;
Six siblings: Joyce Bergeron and husband Kenny of Pawtucket, Jean Noble and husband Michael of Jacksonville, FL, Steve Normandin of Louisiana, John Paul Normandin of Pawtucket, David Normandin and wife Jan of Missouri and Lynda Normandin.
And five grandchildren: Devin, Autumn, Tessa, Maya and Anaya.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 11 at 5 p.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A time for visitation will be held immediately after the service in the funeral home until 9 p.m.
