PLAINVILLE – Dana M. Borgatti, 71, of Spring Street passed away Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Holiday Nursing Center in Rhode Island. He was the loving partner and friend of the late lady lavendar lee for 23 years before her death in 2014.
Born December 13, 1948 in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Elario and Helen Borgatti.
Dana grew up in Plymouth where he was a resident for many years before moving to Plainville 35 years ago.
He worked as a lineman for various telephone companies including Nynex and retired from Verizon.
Dana loved outdoor activities including archery, hunting and fishing, and was a proud member of the Black Feather Archers. He was a man of few words but a huge heart, who would do anything for his friends and family and thought nothing of driving 6 hours to Maine just to share a cup of coffee with his brother-in-law then turning around and driving home. He was also an amazing “Bampy” to his two granddaughters, who can only hope to some day match his Cribbage skill level.
Dana is survived by his son, Brian Borgatti of Plainville and his daughter, Kristin and husband Mark Bergeron of Smithfield, RI; two granddaughters: Ellen Bergeron and Riley Borgatti; five siblings: Gail Cahill of Maine, Joan Borgatti of Buzzards Bay, Roy Borgatti of Foxboro, Brenda Bartlett of Manomet and Karen Potter of Wareham; also many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or at www.alz.org
