NORTH ATTLEBORO – Jeffrey Reinsant, 70, a longtime resident of North Attleboro passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Norwood Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Donna (Brown) Reinsant for 48 years.
Born March 20, 1948 in Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late George E., Jr. and Lucille (Gauthier) Reinsant.
Jeff grew up in Pawtucket, RI and has been a resident of North Attleboro for over 40 years. He graduated from LaSalle Academy and Rhode Island College.
He worked in sales throughout his career, previously in Textiles and most recently owned Seacoast Surgical in North Attleboro.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
From 1981 until 2018 he worked as part of the “chain gang” at New England Patriots home games. Jeff was active in supporting the Town of North Attleboro. He served as chairman of the School Committee, was on the Zoning Board, Finance Committee and RTM.
Jeff was also active in LNAL baseball and Pop Warner football, serving as President of Pop Warner for several years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His greatest joy in life was time spent with family and his many wonderful friends.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by three children: Jeffrey Reinsant, Jr. and wife Nicole of Cumberland, RI, Melissa Devine and husband Patrick of Walpole and Jessica Boulris and husband Brad of Cumberland;
8 grandchildren: Kyle, Anna, Emily, Shea, Bryce, Lily, Olivia and Addison;
8 siblings: Joanne O’Brien of Cumberland, Judy Leigh of Blackstone, Jane Liles of Rumford, RI, Patrice Salvas of Central Falls, Marybeth Smith of Richmond, RI, Christopher Reinsant of Ormond Beach, FL, Lisa Olbrych of Pawtucket and Matthew Reinsant of Cranston, RI. He was brother of the late George Reinsant III.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 7 from 3-8 p.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 8 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, North Attleboro. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date.
