NORTH ATTLEBORO – David P. DeLaurier, 57, of North Attleboro died Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital surrounded by his devoted family.
Born March 4, 1961 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Leon J. and Lorraine (Clavette) DeLaurier.
David was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro. He loved running big machines and worked as a heavy equipment operator at Boro Sand and Stone for many years. He built developments, did concrete work and any other job involving heavy equipment.
He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He loved travelling New England on his bike and attended numerous Bike Weeks in Laconia and Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. More recently he bought a Polaris Slingshot roadster.
Dave also loved travelling the world. He was a devoted father to his daughter Crystal and followed her around the world cheering on her figure skating career. They went to numerous countries including Italy and Switzerland where he watched her bring home a World Cup Championship.
Dave also cherished his grandson Aydin. He attended all of Aydin’s sporting events and never missed a baseball or football practice. He was also an avid snow skier.
He is survived by his daughter Crystal DeLaurier of North Attleboro; his grandson Aydin DeLaurier; three siblings: Donna Kenneally of North Attleboro, James DeLaurier of CT and Joan Kipp of North Attleboro; also many nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Leon DeLaurier.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 10 from 10am to 12noon at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home immediately following visitation at 12 noon. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
