She worked at Balfour Company as head of the filing department.
Esther was very social and easily made friends playing bingo at many local schools and meeting places. She was not known to hold grudges. Knitting was one of her favorite pastimes and every baby had something from her as well as every adult who wanted one received a sweater. She passed her knitting and crocheting skills on to her daughters and granddaughters. Esther was called the “Scrabble Queen” for many years, she was the best at playing scrabble and cards. She was simply just a happy person that loved to laugh.
Above all her family meant everything to her. Especially her husband, she missed him dearly after his passing. She never abandoned him through all his personal trials.
Esther is survived by her caring children: Susanne Desrosiers and her husband Roger, Paul Davignon and his wife Eileen, Christine Rocha and her husband Stanley and Laurence Davignon. Her 9 cherished grandchildren and her 8 adored great-grandchildren. Her wonderful sister Irene Midon.
Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her son David Francis Davignon and her siblings Eva, Rose, Albert, Louis, Gerard and Laura.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 4, 2018 in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral 15 Grove St. North Attleboro from 9 to 9:45am and a mass of Christian burial will immediately follow in Sacred Heart Church 58 Church St. North Attleboro at 10am. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery 240 Towne St. North Attleboro.
